A tear fell from Macha’s eye, and it rolled on her cheek. “Don’t be sad that you still love him. He is blessed to have a daughter like you and he is a fool for not seeing that.” she then sang a soft song, “Love gives you pleasure and love brings you pain. And yet when both are gone, love will still remain. If there are two things you should never stop doing, these are to love with all your heart, and to hope with all you are.”

Tia looked up and smiled softly before reaching up a small, pianist’s hand to wipe away the lone tear from Macha’s cheek. “Oh, don’t cry. I would not be so selfish as to have you cry for me. Besides, I am already blessed with far more than I deserve. I have many families now. I may not be related to them by blood but I might as well be. And then there’s Hiro.” She grinned at the thought of them all and blushed slightly at her own mention of Hiro. “I don’t know what I did to deserve their love. I’m no one special at all, in fact, I’m quite ordinary.”

“Well, I’m excited either way!” Tia bounced on her toes in all her giddyness. “Oh, I finally met Amora. Very interesting goddess and very beautiful! Although, I think I might have annoyed her slightly. I guess, I can be a little too happy sometimes. But, I don’t mind though.”

She frowned a bit, “Amora, why would she be?” She hoped it wasn’t due to the reason of her leaving.  ”I’ll talk to her tomorrow.”

Tia giggled at Cin’s protective nature. “Oh, Cin, you don’t need to. I’m sure that we’ll warm up to each other in no time! Besides, she’s a good person I can tell.”

“I’ll still talk to her.  She needs to be courteous.  You do know she is an ex lover of mine, right?” She asked, tilting her head.

“She was very courteous to me. You don’t have to worry about that. Besides, I guess it might be annoying to have an overhappy mortal saying hi out of the blue.” Tia smiled wryly and blushed. “I gathered as much.”

The mention of a father’s love made her flinch slightly. It was a tender subject for her. But she blinked it away and smiled once more to cover it all up. It was easier to smile. “Well, now you both can be happy. That is what I wish for everyone to have. Every night I wish for that and it makes me so happy when that wish comes true!”

“What is it you truly wish for, Tia?” Macha asked. She was a goddess, but first and foremost she was a mother. “You can tell me.” she said softly.

Tia blinked in surprise at the question before casting her mismatched eyes down to the ground in thought. “What do you mean?” She didn’t quite understand what Macha was getting at. “There are a lot of things I could wish for. Things that some would say are either silly or sensible. But…I could never wish for anything for myself. I could never bring myself to do that…But, I think I would have everyone be happy…I wish they would be happy because seeing them happy makes me happy when I am not.”

“When I spoke of my father your body language told me of something else.” she said in a soft tone. “You need not answer my question, but what happened to your father?”

Tia felt a few tears form in her eyes but she pushed them back into nonexistence. She remained looking at her toes, her perpetually messy brown hair falliweng forward. “…He left us. He left on Christmas Eve of my eighth year…He never really loved me. He never wanted me in the first place. And he loved his alcohol and his…his guns more than me. There were times, when I believed that he might care for me…but…” She shuffled her foot on the ground. “I shouldn’t still love him, you know. I owe him nothing. My mother has taken care of us all these years and made sure that I grew up well despite our situation. But…I can’t help but love him still. And I don’t know why…And that makes me sad.”

“So, I went to the doctor’s yesterday…”

“Oh about that bug that you had? What did they say? Are you gonna be alright?”

“More than alright, morelikeyouaregoingtobeanauntalright!” She squealed.

Tia’s face lit up and she hugged Cin tighter. “You’re pregnant?! Oh, Cin! Congratulations!”

“Yep, found out at the doctor’s, I was shocked.  I guess you were right, weren’t you?” She smiled.  ”He keeps insisting its a girl.”

“I guess so. I really had no idea at the time. I don’t know much about pregnancy.” She grinned and shook her head. “Oh, Adam. Well, this baby will be loved whether its a beautiful baby girl or a handsome baby boy.”

“Secretly, I want it to be a girl too.  I just thought he would want more boys.  You know?  Roughhouse them, have me yell at them to constantly clean up after themselves.  Just… I don’t know.” She shrugged.  ”But, I thought I should tell you.  I’ll have Amora check the gender tomorrow, only because I am impatient.”

Tia looked up suddenly and blinked in surprise. “Her mother?” Slowly a smile of happiness made it’s way to her face. “So she found her real mother after all!” She was practically bouncing with excitement. “Then it’s a big big honor to meet you today ,Macha! I so happy for her. I knew that that other woman couldn’t be her mother, especially after what she did to her.” Her smile turned sad for a few moments. “I know very well how it feels to be unloved and unwanted by a parent. After what she’s been through, she deserves all the happiness in the world.”

“I have been told of what her other mother did to her, and I have cursed all those who harmed her for nine generations. A parent should never make their child feel unloved. My father was a harsh man, but I knew he loved me because he raised me to be a strong woman in a man’s world, and to take my rightful place as the heir to his throne. Fate has been good to the both of us, and I am grateful to her.”

Tia’s mismatched eyes lit up. “Oh, yes it is! I’ve been outside all day gardening.” She held up  her basket that was filled with a few roses. “These fell off some of my rosebushes. Sad really, cause now they won’t last as long.” She smiled down at her favorite flowers before tilting one side of her head upwards to gaze at the other with her good seeing eye. “Would you like one?”

Macha took the rose and smiled. “Thank you. Here, I want to show you something.” she then blew on the rose and it became more alive than it had when Tia gave it to her. “Check the roses in your basket too. Its siblings have been blessed as well.”

Tia grinned brightly as she caressed the soft petals. “Beautiful! I guess it’s me who should be thanking you!” She lifted a rose and inhaled it’s fragrance. “You remind me of a friend I met not too long ago named Ina. She gave me a rose that will never wilt.”

“Ina? She is my daughter.” Macha grinned. “I am very proud of her and her abilities. She is young, but soon, she will be able to control her abilities and use them well. Your roses are blessed by me, they will forever be beautiful and will smell sweet.”
